Pastor Jerod is passionate about helping people experience church as a place of belonging, connection, and care. Jerod has served in congregational ministry since 2014 and is a Gustie ’10 and graduate of Luther Seminary and cares deeply about building communities where people know they belong and where faith is lived out through compassion, service, and care for neighbors.
Outside of church, Jerod and his wife Bri stay busy raising their two daughters, who keep life joyful and wonderfully unpredictable. As a family, they enjoy trips to the Minnesota Zoo, the Science Museum, swimming pools, and summer splash pads along with life at home with their dog Sparrow, and cat Slushy, whose name was enthusiastically chosen by their oldest daughter.

Penny started working at Christ Memorial in 2001 and provides key support to both church and childcare center staff. Something she appreciates about working in this faith community is the wonderful church members and staff that she loves and has grown to know so well over the years.
