TLC takes pride in our affiliations, accreditations, and partnerships. We strive to provide the best care for your family and are committed to maintaining these high standards.
TLC is accredited with the National Association for the Education of Children (NAEYC). NAEYC has set 10 standards for early childhood programs that can help families make the right choice when they are looking for a child care center, preschool, or kindergarten. The standards and criteria are also the foundation of the NAEYC Accreditation system for early childhood programs. To earn accreditation, programs must meet all 10 standards.
Based on research on the development and education of young children, the standards were created with input from experts and educators from around the country. The standards define what NAEYC—the world’s largest organization of early childhood professionals—believes all early childhood programs should provide.
TLC has a four-star Parent Aware rating. When a program participates in Parent Aware, they volunteer for extra training and professional development to go above and beyond basic health and safety licensing requirements.
Participating programs can earn a One-, Two-, Three-, or Four-Star Rating. Parent Aware Ratings are based on demonstrated use of research-based practices. Each Rating level builds on the previous one, helping families easily identify which practices the program is using.
TLC is a member of ELEA. Deeply committed to its mission, ELEA connects members through current media to build and maintain vibrant, professional partnerships and strengthen the ministry of weekday school and early childhood programs.
